Artist's Comments

Above is a concept for an operating system I have been thinking about. I would ultimately like to turn it into a visual style, or at least extract some parts of it for one. Download for full view (1920x1200)
God bless,
Matt.

looks stunning :-) but I'm not sure if it's possible to implement using visual styles
:icontheoroshia:
It's possible. It'll take a bunch of hex editing and tweaking of images though.

Very cool. You might like to disable the Windows and or Linux shell and just use something more flexible like... What's it called... LiteStep I believe it was. That thing is easy to make custom shells for Windows. Give it a shot!

Wow! I can't believe I've never heard of LiteStep before!! XD

You guys seriously rock. I have a few questions...

1) Does it support transparency (as in anti-aliased window borders)

2) Does it support Vista?

God bless.

Yeah, but...no offense, but it looks uglier than XP or Vista.
:iconzume:
Have you seen xp's toystore squishy look, and vista's half-baked "glass" that doesn't actually look anything like glass.

xp and vista started with a good idea and never finished it.

i think the artist did a nice job of simplifying an os look and feel.

im looking at the philosophy here, what good things we can take out of this image, and certainly not going around calling peoples work ugly, even if it wasn't meant to be offensive.

lets promote an optimistic community, and encourage people to take training classes in computer graphics and U.I. design.
